CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />2 -5.2 PRECEDENCE OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />The following supersedes the provisions of this subsection: <br />In case of conflict between Contract Documents, the document highest in precedence shall <br />control. The precedence shall be as follows: <br />1) Permits <br />2) Change Orders <br />3) Construction Contract/ Agreement <br />4) Addenda <br />5) Bid Proposal <br />6) Plans <br />7) Technical Provisions <br />8) Special Provisions <br />9) Standard Plans <br />10) Standard Specification <br />11) Reference Specifications <br />Detail drawings shall take precedence over general drawings. <br />2 -6 WORK TO BE DONE <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Where the manufacturer of any material or equipment provides written recommendations or <br />instructions for its use or method or installation (including labels, tags, manuals or trade <br />literature), such recommendations or instructions shall be compiled with except where the <br />contract documents specifically require deviations. <br />2 -8 RIGHT -OF -WAY <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />When the contractor arranges for additional work areas and facilities temporarily required by <br />him, he shall provide the City with proof that the additional work areas and /or facilities have <br />been left in a condition satisfactory to the owner(s) of said work areas and /or facilities prior to <br />acceptance of the work. <br />2 -9.2 SURVEY SERVICE <br />The following supersedes the provisions of this subsection: <br />The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services, and be responsible <br />for all surveying, staking, and layout necessary for the construction of the improvements. <br />Consequently, any reference to the Engineer providing such services in shall be disregarded. <br />S -2b <br />23A -61 <br />
