REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL February 5 1990 <br />AGENDA DATE y <br />TITLE RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT <br />AMENDED AND RESTATED <br />JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT <br />CREAIING THE SAN JOAQUIN HILLS TRANS- <br />PORTATION CORRIDOR AGENCY <br />A ° Ic� <br />c_.. 10 ;� 5' <br />DATE OF COUNCIL ACTION FEB 5 199(1 <br />Resolution No. 90 - 00E <br />adopted. <br />Adopt the resolution approving Amendment No. 2 to the "First Amended and <br />Restated Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Creating the San Joaquin Hills <br />Transportation Corridor Agency." <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />The County of Orange, the City of Santa Ana, and seven other cities that would <br />benefit from the construction of the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor <br />are members of the Transportation Corridor Agency. On December 1, 1989, the <br />City of Laguna Niguel was incorporated, and has requested admission as a party <br />to the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency. <br />On February 6, 1990, the City of Laguna Niguel will conduct a public hearing <br />and it is anticipated that the City will adopt an ordinance adapting the Major <br />Thoroughfare and Bridge Fee Program in accordance with Section 4.1 of the <br />"First Amended and Restated Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Creating the <br />San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency ". Section 9.1 of the <br />Agreement requires the unanimous consent of each existing party for admission <br />of the City as a party. <br />J 104 <br />
