City of Santa Ana • RFP #14 -036 Landscape Archi *ectural Design for Pacific Electric Park <br />Community Inspired Spaces Wd'W <br />RJ DESIGN <br />Projeci Understanding GROUP <br />a, Detailed Scope of Work <br />TASK I - PRE - DESIGN <br />A. Meetwith'City of SantaAna Project Manager and Staff to discuss scope, projectgoals and objectives, <br />potential elements and issues, and project time frame. <br />B. Review pertinent information regarding this project (Information to be provided by the City of <br />Santa Ana): <br />1. As -built civil, street improvement plans, structural, electrical, etc. <br />2. Topography, boundary and easement information. <br />3. Any other available documents pertaining to the site and adjacent development areas. <br />4. Any existing specifications or reports related to previous or current phases of site <br />development. <br />Note: City of Santa Ana shall be responsible for obtaining complete up -to -date topographic <br />and survey data with accurate gradients and elevations including perimeter joint elevations, <br />existing tree locations, and existing utilities. <br />Demolition and / or existing utility mapping, assessment and / or relocation is not part of <br />this Scope of Work. <br />C. Conduct site visit with City to review existing site conditions, including hardscape, landscaping, <br />easements, physical limitations, ADA accessibility, external influences, and demolition / <br />construction access. <br />D. Format City provided Base Plan for Design Development Studies, using hardscape plan provided <br />by City of Santa Ana in AutoCAD 2011 digital format. <br />TASK 2 - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT <br />Prepare design development plans and cost analysis based upon the City - provided conceptual design <br />plan in order to fix and describe the scope and character for Pacific Electric Park, to include landscape <br />architectural, architectural, civil engineering, architectural lighting, security systems, and electrical <br />systems. Cost considerations will be given to the availability of materials, equipment and labor, <br />construction sequencing and scheduling, economic analysis of construction, user safety, maintenance <br />requirements, and energy conservation. Final selection of materials, textures, and colors will occur in <br />the phase. <br />A. Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Material Evaluation <br />The site design and architectural elements shall be as energy efficient as possible and will utilize <br />sustainable harvested materials. Energy efficient and sustainable materials will be researched <br />for appropriateness for their source, transportation requirements, durability, maintenance <br />characteristics and methods of production and their effect on the environment.
