WIOA YOUTH ELIGIBILITY <br />Youth must be determined eligible by the Youth Service Navigator In order to receive services from a <br />WIOA granted Youth Service Provider. The following criteria are the Youth Eligibility for WIOA: <br />1. Be authorized to work in the United States; AND <br />2. Be in compliance with the Selective Service Act (males 18 +); AND <br />3. Be a Santa Ana resident (residency not considered for foster youth, emancipated youth, wards <br />of the court, and homeless); AND <br />4. Out -of- School Youth —an individual who is <br />A. Not attending any school (as defined by State law); <br />B. Not younger than age 14 or older than 24; and <br />C. One or more of the following: <br />i. School Dropout <br />ii. Not attending school for at least a q <br />ill. H'igh(sthool graduate or GM who is <br />a. Basic skills deficient <br />b. An English fang <br />D. An individual in the juvenile or adult ju <br />E. Homeless individual, homeless youth, a <br />uagelearner <br />stice system <br />runaway, in foster care or ag <br />ditional assistance to enter or <br />employment (low income also <br />ii. English language learner <br />iii. An offender <br />E. Homeless individual, homeless youth, a runaway, in foster care or aged out, a child <br />eligible for child welfare <br />F. Pregnant or parenting <br />G. Youth with disability <br />H. Low income individual who requires additional assistance to enter or complete an <br />educational program or to secure or hold employment (low income also includes youth <br />living in high poverty area) <br />I. Requires Additional Assistance (as defineid by Santa Ana Youth Council): <br />10 <br />19D -14 <br />eligible for child welfare <br />F. <br />Pregnant or parenting <br />G. <br />Youth with ,a disability <br />H. <br />Low income individual who requires ad <br />educational program to secure or hold <br />living in high poverty area) OR ' <br />5. In School Youth —an individual who is <br />A. <br />Attending school <br />B. <br />Between the ages of 14 -24 <br />C. <br />Low - income individual; and <br />D. <br />One or more of the following <br />i.
