L Youth with disabilities as defined by Santa Ana Unified School District <br />recognized assessment tools and /or State Department of Rehabilitation; <br />ii. Family History of long term welfare dependency; <br />iii. Youth with gang affiliation; <br />iv. Limited English Proficiency; <br />V. Poor work history (applies to older youth see definition); <br />vi. Have repeated at least one secondary grade level or are one year over <br />age for grade; <br />vii. Have a core GPA of less than 1.5; <br />viii. For each year of secondary education, are at least two semester credits <br />behind the rate required to graduate from high school; <br />ix. Are emancipated youth; <br />X. Have emancipated from foster care system <br />xi. Have aged out of foster care; <br />xii. Are previous dropouts or have been suspended or have been expelled <br />xiii. Are court /agency referrals mandating school attendance; <br />xiv. - Are deemed at risk of dropping out of school by a school official; <br />xv. Have been referred to or are being treated by an agency for a substance <br />abuse related problem; <br />xvi. Have experienced recent traumatic events, are victims of abuse, or <br />reside in an abusive environment as documented by a school official or <br />other qualified professional; <br />xviL Have serious emotional, medical or psychological problems as <br />documented by a qualified professional. <br />Note: the term "requires additional assistance" is subject to change due to pending State definition and <br />regulation according to the new WIOA law. <br />19D -15 11 <br />
