BRANDON FENDER <br />SENIOR ANALYST <br />Brandon supports economic impact, nexus and linkage fee analyses with his <br />specialty in research, fieldwork, and data analysis. He uses Geographic <br />Information Systems software for graphic representation and spatial analysis, <br />as well as IMPLAN modeling. He performs compliance audits and develops <br />models to project future employment. He is experienced in the area of <br />obtaining entitlements to create affordable housing opportunities for seniors <br />and disabled adults. <br />FOCUS AREAS: Fiscal and Economic Impact Analyses, Real Estate, <br />Development Entitlements and Programming, Housing <br />RECENT ENGAGEMENTS: <br />• Assisted the City of Los Angeles Office of the Chief Legislative <br />Analyst with determining the development costs, feasibility, gap, and <br />fiscal and economic impacts associated with the Village at Westfield <br />Topanga in Warner Center and the Grand Avenue project in <br />Downtown Los Angeles. <br />• Working with the City of San Carlos to assemble land and identify a <br />developer to build a hotel with over 200 keys. The land, known as the <br />Landmark Site, has been targeted for hotel development for over 20 <br />years. <br />• Fiscal and economic impact analysis for the City of Los Angeles to <br />estimate jobs, sales, utility and property taxes generated by housing, <br />retail and medical facilities on an economically depressed area. <br />Brandon joined RSG in 2009. He received a BA in Social Ecology from the <br />University of California, Irvine. <br />WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE WORK: When communities face economic <br />stress and difficulty, I am able to provide innovative and ecological solutions.
