MICHAEL DIETZ <br />RESEARCH ASSISTANT <br />Michael brings an analytical and adaptable background to RSG's project <br />teams. He researches a wide variety of data and translates it into a reliable <br />source of information. He then helps to analyze this data in an efficient and <br />effective manner. Furthermore, he assists in the drafting of advanced plans, <br />spreadsheets, and reports for clients. His unique blend of knowledge allows <br />him to understand communities and solve problems. He is a flexible and <br />integral piece of the team. <br />FOCUS AREAS: Community Development, Land Use Planning, Urbanization <br />RECENT ENGAGEMENTS: <br />Conducted a feasibility analysis to assess a proposed hotel's impact <br />on residual growth of both the local and regional economy. <br />• Examined and evaluated existing land uses and development <br />standards with regard to their economic potential across multiple <br />communities. <br />• Drafted a report that analyzed existing senior housing availability and <br />projected demand over the next 10 years, including a synthesis of <br />data from comparable cities. <br />Michael joined RSG in 2014. He received a Master's Degree in Urban and <br />Regional Planning from University of California, Irvine and graduated with <br />magna cum laude honors with a BA in Psychology from California State <br />University, Long Beach. <br />WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE WORK: I am highly committed to the betterment <br />of communities through the adoption of creative and progressive solutions.
