CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />INSTRUCTIONS <br />INFORMATION TO BIDDERS FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION <br />INTENT OF BID PROPOSAL <br />The purpose of this Bid Proposal is to identify a Prime Contractor to enter into a contract with <br />the City of Santa Ana, referred to as AGENCY, to complete the work shown on the Contract <br />Documents. <br />FIRIMMOT&ZOWT11111 <br />The Bid Proposal shall be correctly executed and submitted in accordance with the Notice <br />Inviting Bids. The Bid Proposal shall contain the legal name and address of the BIDDER and any <br />SUBCONTRACTORS to be used. If the BIDDER is a corporation, it is important to state the <br />appropriate officers. The Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by all Proposal Documents listed <br />and identified in the "Proposal" section of the Contract Documents to successfully submit a bid. <br />The contractor's bid may be considered non-responsive if any of the documents or forms are <br />not included. <br />The bid package shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside as <br />instructed in the Notice Inviting Bids. Proposals may be mailed, with return address, or <br />delivered by messenger. However, it is the BIDDER'S own responsibility to ensure delivery of <br />the proposal to the location and prior to the bid opening hour stipulated in the Notice Inviting <br />Bids. Late bids will not be considered. <br />EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT SITE <br />It is the BIDDER's responsibility to carefully examine the Contract Documents including the <br />Plans and Specifications, visit the project site, and become fully informed as to all existing <br />conditions and limitations involved in the work. The BIDDER shall include in the bid sum a <br />contract price sufficient to cover all items, including labor and materials, that are required or <br />implied for a complete project as shown and described in the Contract Documents. <br />The BIDDER shall be satisfied as to the character, quality, and quantities of work to be <br />performed, materials to be furnished, and as to the requirements of the proposed contract. <br />Bidders shall not, at any time after submission of the bid, dispute, complain, or assert that there <br />was any misunderstanding in regard to the nature or amount of work to be done. It is mutually <br />agreed that the submission of a Contractor's Bid Proposal shall be prima facie evidence that the <br />Bidder has made such examination and is satisfied as to the conditions to be encountered in <br />performing the work, and as to the requirements of the proposed Plans and Contract <br />Documents. <br />3 <br />Sec%on 2- b IntormatlonWdderr 09-32 2014 <br />
