Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Enforcement Plan Appropriation Adjustment and Staffing <br />February 17, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />The revenues collected as part of the Medical Marijuana Collective /Cooperative registration <br />application and regulatory safety permit process will offset the MMD Enforcement Plan costs for <br />the period of February to June 30, 2015. MMD Enforcement Plan costs commencing July 1, <br />2015 will be offset by the gross receipts tax revenue which are anticipated to be adopted as part <br />of the 2015 -16 budget process. <br />Staff recommends the approval of the appropriation adjustment and staffing to ensure the <br />effective implementation of the MMD Enforcement Plan. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #1 Community Safety, Goal #4 City <br />Financial Stability, and Goal #5 Health, Livability, Engagement & Sustainability. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The appropriation adjustment will recognize $638,860 in MMD Registration Application Fees <br />(acct no. 01116002 - 53626) and $241,720 in anticipated MMD Regulatory Safety Permit (acct no. <br />01114002 - 51706) revenue to offset MMD Enforcement Plan costs from February to June 30, <br />2015. <br />a i <br />Edward S. aya, ExecTive Director <br />_.
