3.3 Air Quality Mitigation Measures <br />Measures selected for incorporation in the project include: <br />1. SCAQMD Rule 403 (see page 10 of the Appendix) will be ad- <br />tiered to, insuring the clean up of construction - related dirt <br />on approach routes to the site. <br />2. Adequate watering techniques will be employed to partially <br />mitigate the impact of construction - generated dust particu- <br />lates. <br />3. Construction equipment will be properly maintained and ser- <br />viced to minimize exhaust emissions. <br />4. Consideration will be given to the provision of convenient <br />bus shelters and bus turnouts along Bristol Street to encou- <br />rage the use of public transportation. <br />Additional mitigation measures offered for consideration and <br />incorporation in the project if found to be feasible: <br />5. The use of energy efficient lighting along Bristol Street <br />(low pressure sodium vapor lights) should be considered to <br />reduce emissions at the power plant serving the area. (AQMP <br />control measure N11) <br />5. Traffic signals along Bristol Street should be synchronized <br />if feasible. (AQMP control measure K2) <br />7.
