PUBLIC HEARING — HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION NO. <br />2014 -39, HISTORIC REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014 -39, AND HISTORIC <br />PROPERTY PRESERVATION AGREEMENT NO. 2014 -52 <br />Filed by Alex L. Hart and Mason K. Nakamura to allow the placement and categorization <br />in the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties as Landmark for the property located <br />at 2215 North Victoria Drive (Kimes House) and to execute a Mills Act agreement with <br />the City of Santa Ana. Chair Mill opened the public hearing. There were no speakers <br />and the hearing was closed. <br />Item continued from the November 6, 2014 meeting by a vote of 8:0. <br />Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on October 21, 2014 and notices <br />mailed October 23, 2014. <br />MOTION: <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application <br />No. 2014 -39 and Historic Register Categorization No. 2014 -39. <br />2. Recommend that the City Councill authorize the City Manager and Clerk of <br />the Council to execute the attached Mills Act agreement with Alex L. Hart <br />and Mason K. Chair Mill recused himself from this item due to conflict of interest and left the dais <br />at 4:55 p.m. Vice Chair Christy opened the public hearing. Gene Tidgewell spoke in <br />support of the project and requested that the name "Ness" referenced in the name be <br />removed.
