Department of Housing and Urban Development, At its regular meeting on March 25, 2015, by a vote of 4:0 (Sandoval absent), the Community Redevelopment and Housing Commission recommended to approve the 2:015 -2016 Five -Year Consolidated Plan and Annual Plan and authorize the submittal to the U, S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), DISCUSSION Every five years the City of Santa Ana ( "City ") must submit its Consolidated Five -Year Plan (Exhibit 1) to HUD to receive funding from various formula grant allocation programs administered by HUD. These funds provide for affordable and supportive housing, community development programs, public services and economic opportunities, The programs include the Community Development Black Grant (CDBG), the HOME Investment Partnership Grant (HOME), and the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). The Consolidated Five -Year Plan (Plan) outlines a strategy with which the City intends to achieve and Identifies the objectives and outcomes to be accomplished over the next five years, The Plan also Includes the first of five Annual Action Plans that will be prepared during the five -year period covered by the Plan. The Annual Action Plan describes the intended use of the entitlement grants for fiscal year 2016 -2015, The City's current allocation for fiscal year 2016 -2016 is as follows: 19E -1
