ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ADDENDUM <br />Bristol Street Widening Project Warner Ave to Saint Andrew Place (Phase IV) <br />3.4 Biological Resources <br />This section corresponds with Section IV, Environmental Consequences and Mitigation Measures, subsection <br />E, Streambed Modification, of the previously approved 1990 Final EIS /EIR. <br />(a) Have a substantial adverse effect, either directly or through habitat modifications, on any <br />species identified as a candidate, sensitive, or special - status species in local or regional plans, <br />policies, or regulations, or by the California Department of Fish and Game or U.S. Fish and <br />Wildlife Service? <br />The project site is located within a fully developed urban area within the City of Santa Ana. No special natural <br />habitat exists on or in the vicinity of the proposed project. Implementation of the proposed project would not <br />result in greater impacts than previously analyzed in the 1990 Final EIS /EIR. <br />Mitigation Measures <br />No new additional mitigation measures are required. <br />(b) Have a substantial adverse effect on any riparian habitat or other sensitive natural community <br />identified in local or regional plans, policies, or regulations or by the California Department of <br />Fish and Game or US Fish and Wildlife Service? <br />Refer to response in 3.4 (a), above. No riparian habitat or other sensitive natural communities are identified in <br />the project area or vicinity. Implementation of the proposed project would not result in greater impacts than <br />previously analyzed in the 1990 Final EIS /EIR. <br />Mitigation Measures <br />No new additional mitigation measures are required. <br />(c) Have a substantial adverse effect on federally protected wetlands as defined by Section 404 of <br />the Clean Water Act (including, but not limited to, marsh, vernal pool, coastal, etc.) through <br />direct removal, filling, hydrological interruption, or other means? <br />Refer to response in 3.4 (a), above. No federally protected wetlands are identified in the project area or <br />vicinity. The proposed project is located within a fully developed urban area of the City. Implementation of the <br />proposed project would not result in greater impacts than previously analyzed in the 1990 Final EIS /EIR. <br />Mitigation Measures <br />No new additional mitigation measures are required. <br />(d) Interfere substantially with the movement of any native resident or migratory fish or wildlife <br />species or with established native resident or migratory wildlife corridors, or impede the use of <br />native wildlife nursery sites? <br />The proposed project would not interfere with the movement of any native resident or migratory fish or <br />wildlife species, corridors, or impede the use of native wildlife nursery sites, as none are located within the <br />project area. The proposed project is located within a fully developed urban area of the City. Implementation <br />of the proposed project would not result in greater impacts than previously analyzed in the 1990 Final <br />EIS/EIR. <br />Mitigation Measures <br />No new additional mitigation measures are required. <br />(e) Conflict with any local policies or ordinances protecting biological resources, such as a tree <br />(PER 02) CSA (AUGUST 2014) 133967 YU 32 <br />
