Acquisition of critical emergency supplies requires each <br />State to have FEN1A's approval of a five -year viable inventory management plan if <br />planned grant expenditure is over $100,000 ; an effective distribution strategy; <br />sustainment costs for such an effort; and logistics expertise to avoid situations where <br />fiords are wasted because supplies are rendered ineffective due to lack of planning. <br />• Supply preparation <br />Evacuation planning <br />• Developing/enhancing evacuation plans, including plans for: alerts /warning, crisis <br />communications, pre- positioning of equipment for areas potentially impacted by mass <br />evacuations sheltering, and re- entry. <br />Pre - disaster and post - disaster Recovery planning <br />• Disaster housing planning, such as creating/supporting a State disaster housing task force <br />and developing /enhancing State disaster housing plans <br />• Pre -event response /recovery /mitigation plans in coordination with State, local, and tribal <br />governments <br />• Developing/enhancing other response and recovery plans <br />Developing recovery plans and preparedness programs consistent with the principles and <br />guidance in the NDRF that will provide the foundation for recovery programs and whole - <br />community partnerships.
