Section 3. Desiring creation of microfarms, the City Council directs staff to <br />identify and analyze real property locations for potential microfarms and to be <br />supportive of private proposals to develop microfarms. <br />Section 4. Having identified the aforementioned "common areas of interest," and <br />recognizing that the wellness proposal contains a variety of other suggestions <br />and concepts, the City Council directs staff to provide support to an economic <br />development committee. The committee shall be established as follows: <br />Option 1: Creation of an Economic Development Commission. Membership <br />would be comprised of seven (7) individuals nominated by the Mayor and each <br />Councilmember. Appointment would be ratified by the full City Council. <br />Option 2: Creation of an Economic Development Committee. Membership to be <br />comprised of eleven (11) individuals representing the following groups nominated <br />by the Mayor and each Councilmember: large employer, real estate broker, <br />financial institution, healthcare provider, educational institution, <br />tourism /hospitality, downtown association, chamber of commerce, small business <br />association, and community advocate. <br />ADOPTED this day of , 2015. <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />am <br />Sonia A.
