income and mixed -use projects and affordable housing for artists. <br />Friendly amendment accepted by the maker of the motion. <br />Housing Programs Analyst, Natalie Verlinich indicated that depending on <br />applicants, may be dividing funds, noted that the HOME funds have <br />commitment deadlines that would have to be considered. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Sarmiento, inquired if able to include mixed income <br />projects <br />Housing Programs Analyst Verlinich, noted that able to use Federal funds <br />and Inclusionary Housing Funds; Federal more restrictive but Inclusionary <br />Funds and Project Based Vouchers allows mixed projects - more flexible. <br />AMENDED MOTION: Authorize the Community Development Agency <br />to release a Request for Proposals on June 1, 2015 to qualified <br />affordable housing developers seeking proposals to fund affordable <br />rental project(s) to be developed in the City of Santa Ana with <br />funding from the HOME Investment Partnership Program funds, <br />Community Development Block Grant program funds, Project Based <br />Vouchers and the Inclusionary Housing Fund, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and the City <br />Attorney and as amended: <br />• Remove Bonus Points in the Developer Selection — Proposal and <br />Evaluation section; <br />• Item #3: Demonstrated readiness of the proposed project to proceed <br />demonstrated site control and availability of financing.
