19F. EXCLUSIVE NEGOTIATING AGREEMENT FOR RENOVATION AND <br />REUSE OF THE YMCA PROPERTY {STRATEGIC PLAN NO, 3,; '5A}" <br />Community Development Agency <br />Councilmember Martinez, requested matter be agendized on the (Finance <br />and Economic Development) Council Committee for review of timeline <br />after 180 extension expires. <br />City Manager Cavazos, indicated that staff has met with adjacent property <br />owner and will return to both council committee and to City Council for <br />consideration. <br />Councilmember Amezcua, noted that Orange County High School of the <br />Arts expanding; staff to consider traffic congestion along Sycamore when <br />improving area. <br />Mayor Pulido, asked when project was approved by City Council. <br />City Attorney Carvalho, stated that council direction provided in March <br />2014 with adoption of agreement in September, 2014. <br />Councilmember Martinez, clarified that extension of agreement needed to <br />deal with adjacent property; supports extension and St. Joseph's <br />endeavors. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Sarmiento, opined that extension reasonable nevertheless <br />need to find resolution quickly. <br />Mayor Pulido, concerned with time element. <br />MOTION: Receive and file this update to the Exclusive Negotiating <br />Agreement which grants a 180 day extension. <br />MOTION: Martinez <br />VOTE: AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSTAIN <br />ABSENT: <br />SECOND: Amezcua <br />Amezcua, Benavides, <br />Sarmiento, Tinajero (6) <br />Pulido (1) <br />None (0) <br />None (0) <br />Martinez, Reyna, <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 11 MAY 19, 2015 <br />
