Agreement with CCI for Animal License Fee Collections <br />July 7, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />Since the inception of the contract CCI has collected the following amounts (revenues -net of <br />fees): fiscal year 2013 -14 - $95,933; fiscal year 2014 -15 (projected) - $106,000. CCI will continue <br />to be compensated at the current rate as follows: <br />• Fifty percent (50 %) for each dog license fee collected, <br />• Fifty cents (50¢) for each new dog license registered, and <br />• Fifty cents (50¢) for each rabies vaccination certificate issued. <br />In recommending a renewed one year agreement with an option for a further one year extension, <br />staff is allowing scope for potential review of possible alternative means for providing animal <br />control services, including dog licensing. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal <br />(Create a culture of innovation and efficiency within the <br />opportunities to engage with outside agencies, both private <br />increase efficiencies). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /># 7 Team Santa Ana, Objective # 5 <br />organization), strategy F (explore <br />and public, to share information and <br />Funds for the CCI agreement are budgeted and available for fiscal year 2015 -16 from dog license <br />revenue account (no. 01110002- 51003).
