Z Annually remove and grind the stumps of as many as three hundred <br />(300) trees ranging in size from thirty-six (36) inches in diameter and <br />larger, with work occurring during regular business hours. The Proposer <br />must show documentable experience in the safe removal of mature trees <br />using methods of rigging, including the use of cranes. <br />3. Annually, supply and plant as many as five hundred (500) trees ranging <br />in size from a fifteen (16) gallon to a twenty -four (24) Inch to thirty six <br />(36) inch box -size nursery stock. The proposer shall exhibit, by portfolio <br />and references, experience with planting projects of the scope and <br />quantity described herein. <br />4. Annually water and maintain as many as five hundred (500) young trees <br />with a regularly scheduled work plan, <br />(3) The Proposer shall exhibit, by portfolio and references, the capacity to respond to <br />emergency tree incidents, ranging from limb failures on single trees to storm <br />related damages affecting many trees, in a manner that meets the needs of the <br />City. <br />D, WORKING HOURS <br />rrrvi aJ iu o:uv rnvi, ivioncay cnrougn rriaay. No Saturday or Sunday work is to be <br />scheduled without prior written permission from the City, unless it is an <br />emergency situation. No motorized equipment shall be operated before 8:00 AM <br />or after 5:00 PM. <br />1. Normal business hours are according to the Municipal Code, Section 18- <br />314.(1) — Special provisions, <br />2. (I) Noise sources associated with the maintenance of real property, <br />provided said activities take place between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on <br />any day except Sunday or a federal holiday, or between the hours of <br />9:00 a,m, and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday or a federal holiday. <br />E. LEVEL OF MAINTENANU <br />(1) All work shall be performed in accordance with the HIGHEST INDUSTRY <br />STANDARDS, as stated in the enclosed maintenance specification description. <br />Standards and frequencles may be modified from time to time as deemed <br />necessary by the City for the proper maintenance of the sites. <br />(2) If, in the judgment of the City, the level of maintenance is less than that specified <br />herein, the City shall, at its option, In addition to or in lieu of other remedies <br />provided herein, withhold appropriate payment from the Contractor until services <br />are rendered in accordance with specifications set forth within this document and <br />providing no other arrangements have been made between the Contractor and <br />the City. Failure to notify of a change and /or failure to perform an item or work <br />on a scheduled day may, at the City's sole discretion, result in deduction of <br />payment for that date, week, or month. Payment will be retained for work not <br />performed until such time as the work Is performed to City standard. <br />(3) The Contractor Is required to correct deficiencies within the time specified by the <br />Clty. If noted deficient work has not been completed, payment for subject <br />25B -15 <br />
