4,$. Performance Based Salary Adjustments: Effective July 1, 2014 each Association <br />employee covered by this MOU who has attained Step D may be eligible to receive an annual <br />performance bonus as a one -time monetary incentive payment based on a percentage of current <br />annual rate of base salary in accordance with the following: <br />A. Performance Levels <br />1. For overall performance rated as `5" Significantly Exceeds Expectations, a <br />one -time monetary incentive payment of five percent (5%). <br />2. For overall performance rated as `4' Exceeds Expectations, a one -time <br />monetary incentive payment of two and one -half percent (2.5 1/o). <br />3, For overall performance rated as `3' Meets Expectations, no monetary <br />incentive payment. <br />4. For overall performance rated as `2' Below Expectations, no monetary <br />incentive payment. <br />5. For overall performance rated as `1' Significantly Below Expectations, no <br />monetary incentive payment. <br />B. Upon an employee failing to receive a rating of "Significantly Exceeds Expectations" <br />in their Amival Performance Evaluation, the supervisor shall promptly prepare a <br />written document which details objectives the employee must meet in order to <br />receive a "Significantly Exceeds Expectations" rating for that evaluation period and <br />provide that document to the employee. The employee's evaluation will be held in <br />abeyance for a period no longer than 90 days, allowing the employee time to attempt <br />to achieve the objectives, During this time any Performance Based Salary <br />Adjustment for an `Exceeds Expectations," if awarded, shall not be processed. lfthe <br />employee fails to achieve a rating of "Significantly Exceeds Expectations" within the <br />90 day period he /she will not be eligible for the "Significantly Exceeds Expectations" <br />bonus for that rating period. <br />C. Application of Guidelines <br />1. Any one -time incentive payment granted under this plan is not an increase in <br />base salary and no salary rate range applicable to any Association employee <br />covered by this MOU shall be changed or deemed to have been changed by <br />reason of such payment. However, such incentive payment for Classic <br />CalPERS members as allowable under CCR Section 57 la will be reported to <br />Ca1PERS as special compensation for calculation towards retirement. <br />7 <br />251 -11 <br />
