Agreements for Right -of -Way Specialty Services <br />August 4, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />DISCUSSION <br />Approval of the recommended action will provide for on -call right -of -way and property <br />management services as needed to complete Public Works projects. These services will be <br />utilized for the current Capital Improvement Program, including Phases III and IV of the Bristol <br />Street Improvements project and the Warner Avenue Improvements project. In addition, these <br />on -call services will support City staff in the day -to -day oversight of right -of -way and property <br />management tasks, such as deed research and cost estimates for all Public Works projects; <br />reviewing existing leases, licenses, franchises, easements, permits and other agreements; and <br />providing comprehensive maintenance services for City properties. <br />On May 20, 2015, Public Works Agency released Request for Proposals (RFP) to qualified <br />consulting firms to provide on -call right -of -way specialty services and property management <br />services. The RFPs were also posted on the City website. Twenty -one proposals were received <br />and twenty were deemed responsive. These proposals were evaluated by personnel from the <br />Public Works Agency and the City Attorney's Office. Each firm was rated according to its <br />qualifications, experience, capacity to perform the required work, and proposed cost and pricing <br />data.
