ARTICLE X <br />10.0 VACATION <br />10.1 Purpose. It is the policy of the City to grant employees vacation leave in <br />order to provide them with a break in their regular work schedule and this <br />purpose shall be used as a guide in the administration of the provisions of this <br />Article. <br />10.2 Vacation Period. <br />A. Effective January 1, 2016, the regular and longevity vacation accruals <br />of bargaining unit members shall be combined into one single <br />vacation bank. The accrual rates will remain the same. However, <br />after January 1, 2016 there will no longer be a reference to longevity <br />vacation. Longevity vacation earned but not advanced in 2015 will <br />be credited to the employee's vacation bank effective January 1, <br />2016.
