Sam Schwartz Engineering <br />90 <br />86 <br />Staff recommends that KTU +A be retained for an amount not to exceed $297,000 for transportation /traffic <br />planning and engineering services (Exhibit 2). This firm has demonstrated they have the experience and <br />resources needed to provide the required services. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. Individual environmental reviews will be <br />conducted for each recommended improvement at the time of implementation. These types of projects <br />typically qualify for Categorical Exemptions. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #5 Community Health, Livability, Engagement <br />& Sustainability, Objective #6 (focus projects and programs on improving the health and wellness of all <br />residents), Strategy B (incorporate the improvement of walking and biking lanes as well as the <br />development of a citywide bike master plan into the Circulation Element of the City's General Plan). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funding in the amount of $297,000 is available in the approved Fiscal Year 2015 -16 Capital Improvement <br />Program, for expenditure in Fiscal Year 2015 -16 from the Active Transportation Program fund (Account <br />No. 14817613- 66220, Project No. 16- 6850). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS <br />FredlMous vipdur Francisco Gutierrez <br />Executive Director Executive Director <br />Public Works Agency Finance & Management Services Agency <br />FM /EWG /ZK <br />Exhibits: 1.
