From: Sandy Munoz <
Date: July 31, 2015 at 9:42:27 PM PDT
To: <inpulidosanta-ana.org>, <vsarmiento(cr7santa-ana.org>, <ninlartinez a santa-ana.org>,
<aarnezcuagsanta-ana.or >, <dbenvidesgsanta-ana.org>, <rreyna@santa-ana.org>,
stinaj eros Santa- ana. org>
Subject: Flags Flying at Government Facilities
There is no doubt that the Flag of the United States of America should be flown proudly anywhere in this
country. Each state should be allowed to fly the state flag under the flag or our country as is proper. City
flags should be displayed properly and in this order also. Sexual orientation flags have no place on a
government facility flag pole, building or grounds.
Sexual orientation and Gay Pride is definitely not appropriate for government buildings. Should a
"straight" sexual orientation flags Ibe flown? We do not display religious flags, foreign country flags (such
as Mexico and Vietnam), sports themes, battle flags and so forth as the decisions to fly would be based
on history, opinions and beliefs of an individual person, such as Mr. T'inajero's relationship with gay pride.
Mr. Tinajero may be proud of his son, but why can't those of us with "''straight" sons have a flag flown too?
Mr. Tinajero, your proposition makes no sense. Most of us understand the fact that gay pride is not a
"'flag waving" act, but is a persona'I issue. Fly the rainbow flag? No. Mr.Tinajero, fly the rainbow flag at
your own house and leave the puilbiilc buildings to the traditional flags or our country.
From a 50 Year Santa Ana Resident,
Sandy V. Munoz
