That the signage is in compliance with the purpose and <br />objectives outlined in the Citywide Design Guidelines. <br />The proposed signage is in compliance with the <br />purpose and objectives outlined in the Citywide Design <br />Guidelines. The proposed signage will be consistent <br />with the Design Guidelines as the signage is creative <br />and well- designed and will contribute positively to <br />Santa Ana's visual environment, help express local <br />character, and will assist in the MEMU developing a <br />distinctive image. <br />3. That the signage is in compliance with the purpose and intent <br />of Section 41 -860 et. seq. except for the variations specified <br />in the Master Sign Program application. <br />The proposed signage is in compliance with the <br />purpose and intent of Section 41 -860 et. seq. except <br />for the variations specified in the Master Sign Program <br />application. The wall signage is consistent with the <br />Sign Code except for its placement, which is limited <br />under the current Sign Code to the first floor of the <br />building. Further, the overall sizes of the monument <br />signs are also consistent except for exceeding the <br />allowable height by three feet. However, both of these <br />variations are consistent with the intent of the MEMU <br />signage guidelines and will assist in providing a clean, <br />contemporary signage package for the development. <br />F. In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the <br />recommended action has been reviewed through previously <br />certified Environmental Impact Report No. 2006 -01. The original <br />Environmental Impact Report was analyzed in light of the master <br />sign plan and it was determined that there are no new significant <br />impacts resulting from this plan. Therefore, no further <br />environmental documentation is required. <br />Section 2. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />approves the master sign plan. This decision is based upon the evidence <br />submitted at the above said public meeting, which includes, but is not limited to: <br />the Request for Planning Commission Action dated September 14, 2015, and <br />exhibits attached thereto, and the public testimony, all of which are incorporated <br />herein by this reference. <br />Resolution No. 2015 -30 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
