9.6 A maximum of one (1) year of Holiday benefits may be carried over from one calendar <br />year to the next. An employee terminating employment with the City may cash out <br />accumulated, unused Holiday leave benefits, not to exceed a maximum of 160 hours. <br />ARTICLE X <br />10.0 VACATION <br />10.1 Purl ose. It is the policy of the City to grant employees vacation leave in order to provide <br />them with a break in their regular work schedule, and this purpose will be used as a guide <br />in the administration of the provisions of this Article. <br />10.2 Vacation, <br />A. Effective January 1, 2016, the regular and longevity vacation accruals of <br />bargaining unit members shall be combined into one single vacation bank. The <br />accrual rates will remain the same. However, after January 1, 2016 there will no <br />longer be a reference to longevity vacation. Longevity vacation eared but not <br />advanced in 2015 will be credited to the employee's vacation bank effective <br />January 1, 2016.
