4.13 Joint Labor Management Study— Salary Schedule. The parties agree that at anytime <br />during the term of this MOU either the City or the Association may ask the other party to <br />meet and negotiate over the implementation of a new salary schedule. <br />ARTICLE V <br />5.0 ASSIGNMENT AND OTHER SPECIAL PAY ADDITIVES <br />5.1 Assignment Pay Differentials. <br />Assignment pay differentials, as listed herein and throughout the contract, will, in each <br />case, be added individually and separately to the employee's base salary. In no event <br />shall one assignment pay differential be added to the employee's base salary as a basis <br />for the calculation of an additional pay differential. <br />A. An incumbent in the class of Police Services Dispatcher who is continuously and <br />regularly assigned to and actually performing in a lead supervisory and trainer <br />capacity over an assigned shift of Police Services Dispatchers will be paid at a <br />rate set ten (10) salary rate ranges (approximately 5.0 %) above his or her then <br />current base monthly salary step. <br />B. Personnel in the class of Forensic Specialist I, who are regularly and continuously <br />assigned to and actually performing duties in a "lead" supervisory capacity over a <br />primary functional unit of Forensic Specialist I employees, will be paid at a rate <br />set ten (10) salary rate ranges (approximately 5.0 %) above their then current base <br />monthly salary step. <br />C. An incumbent in the class of Police Officer who is continuously and regularly <br />assigned to and actually performing duties of a Corporal will be paid at a rate set <br />five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5 %) above his or her then current base <br />monthly salary step. <br />If a Corporal is assigned to lead a work unit without a Sergeant, he or she will be <br />paid an additional five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5 %) above his or <br />her base monthly salary step for such assignment. At the present time, Directed <br />Patrols and Civic Center Patrol units are examples of such assignments. <br />D. An incumbent in the class of Correctional Officer who is continuously and <br />regularly assigned to and actually performing duties of a Senior Correctional <br />Officer will be paid at a rate set five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5 %) <br />above his or her then current base monthly salary step. <br />E. The Police Chief at his discretion and based on the department's need may assign <br />sworn officers to standby status for non -work days or other days as determined by <br />14 <br />
