the Police Chief. Officers thus assigned will be compensated at the rate of two (2) <br />hours of straight time per day of standby duty. Officers assigned to standby status <br />on non -work days will not lose their standby pay when called to duty, if they have <br />been on call for at least six (6) hours when called. If officers on standby status are <br />called to duty after having been on call for less than six (6) hours, they will be <br />paid for their response to work, but not for their standby status. <br />F. An employee who is continuously and regularly assigned as a Training Officer <br />working in Field Operations, the Detention facility, or as a Forensic Specialist II <br />will be paid at a rate set five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5 %) above <br />his or her then current base monthly salary step. <br />G. An employee who is continuously and regularly assigned to and actually <br />performing duties of an Internal Affairs Officer will be paid at a rate set five (5) <br />salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5 %) above his or her then current base <br />monthly salary step. <br />H. An employee who is continuously and regularly assigned to perform training <br />functions as a Parking Control Officer will be paid at a rate set five (5) salary rate <br />ranges (approximately 2.5 %) above his or her then current base monthly salary <br />step. <br />I. An incumbent in the class of Police Officer who is continuously and regularly <br />assigned as a Canine Officer will be paid at a rate set ten (10) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 5 %) above his or her then current base monthly salary step. This <br />pay shall be considered compensation for the care and feeding of the dog and will <br />be in lieu of the thirty (30) minutes of time each day currently provided for such <br />purpose. <br />J. An incumbent in the class of Police Officer who is continuously and regularly <br />assigned to and actually performing duties of a Motor Officer assigned to the <br />Traffic Division will be paid at a rate set five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 2.5 %) above his or her then current base monthly salary step. <br />K. An incumbent, identified by the Police Department, who is continuously and <br />regularly assigned to and actually performing duties of a Detective /Investigator <br />assigned to the Investigations Division or Special Investigations Units as well as <br />Police Investigative Specialist, Background Investigator, Collision Investigator, <br />and Graffiti Task Force Investigator, will be paid at a rate set five (5) salary rate <br />ranges (approximately 2.5 %) above his or her then current base monthly salary <br />step. <br />L. Employees in the class of Correctional Officer or Correctional Supervisor, who is <br />continuously and regularly assigned to either the 207(k) 7/12.5 Corrections Work <br />Schedule, or the 4/10.5 Corrections Administration Work Schedule, shall be paid <br />15 <br />
