COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT NO. C -5 -3583 <br />EXHIBIT B <br />4.6 RECORDS MANAGEMENT <br />The AUTHORITY shall maintain all Project records per the AUTHORITY's policies and <br />procedures. <br />5.0 PROJECT INFRASTRUCTURE <br />5.1 ROUTE DESCRIPTION <br />The Project is 4.15 miles long more or less, and is represented in Exhibit A. <br />5.2 TRACKWAY <br />5.2.1 Embedded Track <br />Embedded track is best described as rail embedded in concrete forming a track slab that is 8- <br />feet wide and typically 12 -15 inches thick. Embedded track will be utilized in all street running <br />segments of the Project. For this Project, the AUTHORITY shall use non - colored concrete embedded <br />track unless agreed mutually otherwise. <br />5.2.2 Ballasted Track <br />Ballasted track consists of rail affixed on ties, which are supported by ballast. Ballast is a rock <br />placed around ties, holding the ties in place. Ties are spaced approximately 30- inches apart. <br />Ballasted track can be utilized in stations, special trackwork areas, between intersections, and through <br />intersections with concrete crossing panels. The AUTHORITY shall utilize ballasted track on the <br />Project west of Raitt Street unless agreed to mutually otherwise. <br />5.2.3 Drainage Facilities <br />The AUTHORITY shall mitigate any additional surface storm water drainage needs generated <br />from the trackway or other impervious areas added by the Project or any change in drainage patterns <br />caused solely by the Project. The mitigation of additional surface storm water drainage for the Project <br />shall meet the CITY's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit standards <br />and will be subject to the CITY'S storm water management requirements. <br />The AUTHORITY intends to implement the Project with little to no increase in drainage runoff <br />by keeping the existing impervious surface areas the same.
