Contracts Award for Police Conversion Components <br />May 3, 2016 <br />Page 2 <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on December 10, 2015, on the city's online bid <br />management and publication system. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as <br />follows: <br />45 Vendors were notified <br />9 Vendors downloaded the bid packet <br />2 Bids received <br />0 Bids received from Santa Ana vendors <br />Bids were opened on January 5, 2016 and evaluated. The two bids received are responsive to <br />the specifications and meet the City's requirements. Staff recommends awarding contracts to <br />both vendors to allow for flexibility in scheduling and optimal utilization. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item assists the City's effort to meet Goal #6 Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #2 (address deferred maintenance on City buildings and equipment). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds in the amount of $495,000 are budgeted and will be available in FY 2016-17 as follows: <br />$56,000 in the Finance Fleet Maintenance account (05010022 66400), $63,000 in the Fleet <br />Maintenance Equipment Replacement account (07510101 66400) and $376,000 in the <br />Equipment Replacement account (07010101-66400). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Francisco Gutierrez <br />Executive Director <br />Finance and Management Services Agency <br />CL/sp <br />22A-2 <br />
