Increase Scope of Contract with <br />Metro Builders & Engineers Group, Ltd. <br />May 17, 2016 <br />Page 2 <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6- Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />assets), Strategy B (equitably maintain existing streets and associated assets in a state of good <br />repair so they are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for all users), and Strategy G (develop <br />and implement the City's Capital Improvement Program in coordination with the Community <br />Investment Plan (e.g., neighborhood streets, traffic improvements, etc.). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are <br />exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. 2015 -111 was <br />filed for these projects. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The Project Cost Analysis originally estimated project expenditures of $689,300, which included <br />the construction contract, construction administration, inspection, testing, surveying and <br />contingencies (Exhibit 2). An additional $800,000 will be added to the project for the additional <br />scope of work. With approval of the Appropriation Adjustment, funding is available in the Liability <br />and Property Insurance Fund (Account No. 08009051 - 66220) for project 16 -2656 for expenditure <br />in Fiscal Year 2015 -16. <br />u. <br />Exbcutive Director <br />Public Works Agency <br />FM /EWG/TC /MO <br />Exhibits: 1.
