ixs 04/2512016 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 -XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION 2006 -054 RELATED <br />TO THE LOGAN PERMIT PARKING DISTRICT FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF EXPANDING SUCH DISTRICT <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1, The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. Pursuant to Article XI (commencing with Section 36 -480) of Chapter 36 of <br />the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana is <br />authorized to adopt resolutions establishing permit parking districts in which <br />parking restrictions apply to all vehicles except those vehicles that have <br />been issued parking permits pursuant to such Article. <br />B. By Resolution No. 2006 -054, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />established the Logan Permit Parking District, as shown on Exhibit 1, <br />attached hereto and Incorporated by reference. <br />C. Owners of residential properties immediately east of the Logan Permit <br />Parking District have noted a lack of available parking on their streets and <br />asked to participate in the City's permit parking program, Consistent with <br />City policies, sufficient petitions were received from such residents to meet <br />the criteria for permit parking. Other nearby residents have also made <br />inquiries. <br />D. To accommodate the present and future requests, the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana now desires to expand the Logan Permit Parking District. <br />E. in order to correct an overlap of permit parking district boundaries between <br />the Lacy and Logan Permit Parking Districts, the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana also desires to exclude from the Logan Permit Parking District <br />the area within the Lacy Permit Parking District. <br />Section 2. The Logan Permit Parking District is hereby to consist in its entirety <br />as follows: the Logan Neighborhood bounded on the southwest by Penn Way, Poinsettia <br />Street, and Santiago Street, on the east by the A.T, & S.F.
