Notes from Pre -Bid Conference held at City Hall - Ross Annex, Third Floor, 20 <br />Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 on October 27, 2015 at 9:00am: <br />• What is the scope of work and project area? <br />The project area includes 3.25 centerline miles (approximately 840,000 <br />square feet) of local industrial streets located east of Harbor Boulevard, west <br />of Fairview Street, north of Segerstrom Avenue, and south of Edinger <br />Avenue. The scope of work includes reconstruction of asphalt pavement, <br />removal & replacement of Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters, <br />sidewalks, driveway approaches, & curb ramps, adjustment of surface utility <br />covers to finished grade, signing .& striping, and installation of vehicle <br />• What is the engineer's estimate? <br />The engineer's estimate is $4,100,000. <br />o When will the project be awarded? <br />Bids shall be valid for 180 working days after the opening of the bids. The <br />award, if made, will be made within this time period. Construction of the <br />project is contingent upon (a) the formation of an assessment district under <br />the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 (Division 7 of the California Streets <br />and Highways Code), which will require approval by the owners of the <br />affected property of the levy of assessments pursuant to an assessment <br />ballot procedure that will commenced after the receipt of bids and <br />SANTA ANA CITY COUNCIL <br />Miguel A.
