Section 5 <br />Heritage Museum <br />Under Alternative 4, the locations where the proposed construction activities <br />would Occur do not contain any sensitive natural communities. Potential impacts <br />to sensitive vegetation communities would be at the same level as the Proposed <br />Project and would be less than significant. <br />Mitigation Measure <br />No mitigation measures required. <br />Level of Impact after Mitigation <br />Alternative 1: No adverse impact <br />Alternative 2: No adverse impact <br />Alternative 3: No adverse impact <br />Alternative 4: No adverse impact <br />IMPACT BIO-3: Would the project have a substantially adverse effect on <br />federally protected wetlands as defined by Section 404 of the Clean Water <br />Act through direct removal, filling hydrological interruption, or other <br />means? <br />Alternative 1: No Federal Action/No Project <br />Under Alternative 1, the project would not be implemented. Within the project <br />area, the Santa Ana River and the Greenville Banning Flood Control Channel <br />would continue to be classified as Waters of the U.S. and Stater <br />Alternative 2: Proposed Project <br />A wetland assessment was conducted on the project site in accordance with the <br />Regional Supplement to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation <br />Manual Arid Region West. Based on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland <br />Delineation Manual, a three parameter approach was used to identify wetland <br />Waters of the U.S. These three parameters include; (1) the presence of wetland <br />vegetation, (2) the presence of wetland hydrology and (3) the presence of hydric <br />soils. <br />The Proposed Project involves three primary construction activities, Placement of <br />the Water Supply Pipeline across the Santa Ana River Edinger Avenue Bridge, <br />Construction of the water supply and back flush pipelines, construction of 4 <br />injection wells and construction of 2 shared structures at Centennial Park. A <br />summary of the wetland parameters at the locations where the construction <br />activities would occur is shown in Table 19, <br />Mid Basin Centennial Park I reject Final EIR 5-57 <br />WNU <br />
