Section 3 <br />College Centennial Education Center and Child Developnient Center which <br />provides adult education classes, pre-school age classes, and day care facilities. <br />Heritage Museum <br />The Heritage Museum Is a cultural and natural history center located at 3101 <br />West Harvard Street. As shown in Figure 2 the Heritage Museum site is bounded <br />by Godinez High School to the north and west, Mitchell Child Development <br />Center to the east, and Harvard Street to the south. The Heritage Museum <br />contains a historic plaza featuring several buildings from the 1890-s, extensive <br />flora gardens, citrus groves, agriculture demonstration garden area and a <br />restored wetland area, <br />3.3 Proposed Project <br />As shown in Figure 3 the Proposed Project involves the construction and <br />operation of four underground injection wells at Centennial Park and a below <br />ground monitoring well at the Heritage Museum. The water supply to the injection <br />wells would be recycled water from OCWD GWR System water treatment plant <br />in Fountain Valley, An underground pipeline would be constructed that would <br />extend from the GWR System water supply pipeline along the Santa Aria River to <br />Centennial Park where it would branch off to the four injection well sites. When <br />in operation the four injection wells would be able to provide up to 12 MGD of <br />additional groundwater recharge capacity to the Orange County Groundwater <br />Basin. To monitor water quality in the area, a monitoring well has been proposed <br />at the Heritage Museum,. <br />The Centennial Park Injection Well Project would involve six construction <br />activities. These activities include; <br />• Construction of Water Supply Pipeline <br />• Construction of Back Flush Pipeline <br />• Drilling and Construction of Injection Wells at Centennial Park <br />• Construction of Shared RecreatiDn/Commuriication Structures <br />• Repaving of Centennial Park Parking Lot <br />• Site Improvements and Drilling and Construction of a Monitoring Well at <br />Heritage Museum <br />Mid Basin Centennial Park I t' t Project Final EIR 3-2 <br />
