HUD SECTION 3 -EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR SANTA ANA RESIDENTS <br />This project Is federally funded and subject to Section 3, a provision of the Housing and Urban Development <br />(HUD) Act of 1966 that helps foster local economic development, neighborhood economic development, and <br />Individual self- sufficiency. To the greatest extent possible, contractor shall solicit and advertise employment <br />opportunities to Santa Ana residents, The City shall inform the Contractor of areas to publicize recruitment <br />opportunities, such as work centers and community centers. Such effort and procedure will be provided to the <br />City for review. <br />9, STATE AND FEDERAL PREVAILING WAGE <br />This project Is subject to the prevailing wage provisions of the California Labor Code., as determined by the <br />Director of Industrial Relations of the State of California. It is also subject to the prevailing wags provisions of <br />the Davis-Bacon Art, as determined by the United States Department of Labor. When both state and federal <br />wage laws apply, the higher of the two wage rates must be paid. A copy of the state and federal wage <br />determinations are provided as Attachment 2. The selected firm will be required to prepare and maintain all <br />documentation necessary to comply with the requirements the California Labor Code and the United States <br />Department of Labor. The Prevailing Wage Acknowledgement (Exhibit C) must be completed and included in <br />the proposal. Proposals that do not contain this document will be considered aaQ:MaQQns1ye gajLqjected. <br />10. MANDATORY JOB WALK <br />The City will conduct a job walk on April 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Please meet at 710 E, 6°' Street, Santa Ana, <br />CA 92701. Respondents must attend the job walk and sign the attendance sheet. Proposals submitted by <br />respondents that farted to attend the job walk rapd sign the attendange sheet W11 be rejected. <br />11. REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION <br />Requests for information (RFIs) will be accepted beginning April 28, 2016 at 12:00 PM and ending May 2, 2016 <br />at 3:00 PM. Please email your requests to Ray Lirette at dLatteCoisanta -ana oro. All RFIs will be posted on the <br />City's website at the same location as the RFP. <br />12. LIST OF PERSONNEL /SUBCONTRACTORS <br />Each proposal shall include a list of all personnel that will be directly providing the seivi es; ncluding their <br />experience, licenses and certificates.
