• Bristol Street Protected Bike Lanes <br />• Edinger Avenue & Bristol Street Class II Buffered Bike Lanes <br />• Hazard Avenue Class II Bike Lanes <br />• Santa Ana Citywide Bike Racks <br />• Various Bike Boulevards <br />Section 3. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana authorizes the City Manager and/or <br />the Executive Director of the Public Works Agency to apply for the Congestion Mitigation <br />and Air Quality funding under the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Federal <br />Transportation Act and Fixing Americas Surface Transportation Act for the Bicycle <br />Corridor Improvement Program and to execute and submit all documents and take any <br />actions necessary, for and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, for the purpose of obtaining <br />financial assistance from the Orange County Transportation Authority, under the Bicycle <br />Corridor Improvement Program, including the execution of a cooperative agreement with <br />OCTA to facilitate delivery of the projects. <br />Section 4. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana certifies that, if selected, the City <br />will provide the required twelve percent (12%) matching funds, and will have sufficient <br />funds to operate and maintain the project(s). <br />Section 5. The Public Works Agency of the City of Santa Ana will cause project work to <br />commence within six months following notification from the State or OCTA that funds have <br />been authorized to proceed by the Federal Highway Administration or Federal Transit <br />Administration and that the project will be carried to completion with reasonable diligence. <br />Section 6. The Public Works Agency of the City of Santa Ana will give Caltrans and/or <br />OCTA's representatives access to and the right to examine all records, books, papers or <br />documents related to the bicycle project. <br />Section 7. The Public Works Agency of the City of Santa Ana will comply where <br />applicable with provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act, the National <br />Environmental Policy Act, the American with Disabilities Act, Federal Title VI, Buy America <br />provision, and any other federal, state, and/or local laws, rules and/or regulations. <br />Section 8. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City <br />Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting this <br />Resolution. <br />ADOPTED this 7th day of June, 2016. <br />Resolution No. 2016-044 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
