Santa Ana <br />DISCUSSION <br />The City establishes an annual blanket order list consisting of vendors that provide services and <br />materials that are required by agencies on a consistent basis. Electrical services are required at <br />times by all City departments for general repairs, modifications and renovations. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on July 22, 2016, on the City's online bid management and <br />publication system. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as follows: <br />19 Vendors were notified <br />1 Santa Ana vendor was notified <br />18 Vendors downloaded the bid packet <br />7 Bids received <br />1 Bid received from a Santa Ana vendor <br />Bids were solicited, opened on August 16, 2016, and evaluated (Exhibit 1). The bids received from <br />the recommended vendors are responsive to the specifications, meet the City's requirements and <br />comply with prevailing wage requirements. Staff recommends awarding contracts to three vendors, <br />including a Santa Ana vendor, to allow for competitive quotes on individual jobs and scheduling <br />flexibility. <br />2213-1 <br />
