Today's literature is not about what you can house in a brick and mortar location, <br />but how you can bring the relevant and engaging literature to the community. With the <br />issues of race and displacement on the rise and more visible through social media, <br />books can be a catalyst to address such topics with communities, but some of our <br />residents still don't have access to such resources or the writers who write them. <br />Bookstores across the nation are closing down, including a long- standing store here in <br />Santa Ana. How can we promote literacy to our underserved communities if our <br />community itself does not have a bookstore that offers something they can relate to? <br />The "LibroMobile: Cultivating Diversity in Santa Ana through Literature" Project <br />(LibroMobile) will enable initiatives that are available at most independent bookstores <br />and extend pass the traditional four walls — literally mobilize and reach out to the diverse <br />
