<br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize a one-time purchase and payment of <br />purchase order to Ferguson Enterprises in the amount of $107,025, plus a <br />contingency of $2,500 for a total amount of $109,525, subject to non-substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />PROJECTS/CHANGE ORDERS <br /> <br />23A. AWARD CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF GRANT-FUNDED SAFE <br />ROUTES TO SCHOOL ENHANCEMENTS AT KING ELEMENTARY (PROJECT <br />NO. 16-6871) {STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 6, 1B & 1G} - Public Works Agency <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: <br /> <br />1. Award a contract and authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to <br />execute a construction contract to California Professional Engineering, Inc., the <br />lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with the base bid in the amount of <br />$363,943, for the term beginning upon execution of the contract and ending <br />upon project completion, for the Safe Routes to School Enhancements for King <br />Elementary project, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and the City Attorney. <br /> <br />2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost <br />of $454,238, which includes the contract bid amount, administration, inspection <br />and testing, and an authorized contingency of $36,395. <br /> <br /> <br />23B. AWARD CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF GRANT-FUNDED SAFE <br />ROUTES TO SCHOOL ENHANCEMENTS AT MONTE VISTA ELEMENTARY <br />(PROJECT NO 16-6873) {STRATEGIC PLAN NOS. 6, 1B & 1G} - Public Works <br />Agency <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: <br /> <br /> <br />1.Award a contract and authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to <br />execute a construction contract to KDC Inc., dba Dynalectric, the lowest <br />responsible bidder, in accordance with the base bid in the amount of $332,234 <br />for the term beginning upon execution of the contract and ending upon project <br />completion, for the Safe Routes to School Enhancements at Monte Vista <br />Elementary, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager <br />and the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated project delivery cost of <br />$411,658, which includes the contract bid amount, administration, inspection <br />and testing, and an authorized contingency of $33,224. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA 7 OCTOBER 18, 2016 <br /> <br /> <br />
