(IHO) is writing this letter in support of THRIVE Santa Ana,
and of Santa Ana Building Healthy Communities (SABHC), in their effort to establish a community
land trust (CLT) in Santa Ana, fostering neighborhoods that are healthy, vibrant, and diverse. We
also invite our colleagues, developers, funders, other agencies, and the City of Santa Ana, to provide
any available land and/or other resources for this endeavor. As an organization developing an
affordable community with the Irvine Community Land Trust, IHO wholeheartedly supports the
SABHC, and THRIVE Santa Ana effort to create sustainable development on land acquired by this
CLT in the City of Santa Ana.
We believe in the principals embodied in the Community Reinvestment Act, designed to encourage
commercial, financial, and institutions of all kinds to help meet the needs of borrowers in all
segments of their communities, including low -and -moderate income neighborhoods. Congress passed
this Act in 1977 to reduce discriminatory credit practices against low-income neighborhoods and
encourage sustainability and self-reliance in low-income communities.
It starts with HOUSING www.InnovativeHousing.com
19772 MacArthur Blvd., Suite 110 Irvine, CA 92612 P 949-863-9740
