General (description <br />The Contractor shall provide water well casing, pump and motor rehabilitation, repair, replacement and related <br />services for the City of Santa Ana at various locations within the City. The general scope of services is <br />described below, <br />B. Work Description <br />The Contractor shall provide all necessary supervision,, labor, materials, tools, and equipment to <br />perform pump pulling and installations, water well rehabilitations,, well casing repairs and installations, <br />water well video inspections, electric motor repairs, electric ,motor rewindln,g.s, and repair services <br />on various types of pumps and. motors, on an as assigned basis, at various locations throughout the <br />City. The Contractor shall meet with the Water Production project, manager prior to starting any work <br />at the worksite, Access to the worksite shall be controlled by the Public Works Agency according to <br />the security standards in place at that time. The Contractor's services shall Include, but are not <br />necessarily limited to, the following'. <br />The Contractor shall provide transportation for its heavy duty equipment, such as, but not limited to, <br />drilling rigs, pump rig, flatbed truck, boom truck, tractor trailer, as requested by the City to and from <br />Contractor's facility to each Water Production worksite. All electric motor repair work shall be <br />transported by the Contractor to an EASA Accredited M.em.ber facility far repair and returned to the City <br />when repairs are complete, All water discharged shall be through an NPDES facility approved by the <br />Project Manager, It shall be the Contractgr's responsjblllty'to propose a method to discharge water that is <br />NPDES cgMpilant and .may include meth,00s .ouch as water detention, through storage tanks or o#tier <br />conforming strategies.. <br />1. PUMP REMOVALIINSTALLATION, SERVICE <br />The Contractor shall be qualified to perform water well pumps removal and instalEatan. At the lnitlal. setup <br />for pulling a well pump, the Contractor shall perform Iockoutltagout of the electrical and hydraulic systems. <br />2. WELL PERFORMANCE TESTING SERVICE. <br />The Contractor shall be qualified to perform. well performance testing, After initial well performance testing <br />setup, all testing data shall be given to the City representative upon completion of testing.. The <br />Contractor shall furnish and install t h e development engine temporarily used to power the test pump <br />process to flush out all sand and small grit out of the area around the well to prevent clogging of the <br />distribution system. All water discharged shall be through an approved facility approved by the Project <br />Manager, The Contractor shall provide the Project. Manager with its evaluation and recommendation, <br />including cost estimates per project. All testing work shall be subject to the Project Manager's written <br />approval prior to commencing any work by the Contractor; Well performance testing shall be done in <br />accordance with AWWA Al00-g7 standards. <br />3. WATERWORKS PUMP REPAIR SERVICE <br />The Contractor shall be qualified to repair of one or more of the following pump units: <br />
