<br />WATER WELL;, PUMP AND MOTOR REPAIR SERVICES
<br />submersibles, boosters, horizontal split case, well turbines, and engine waster„ Repair of :all ,pumps
<br />may Include,, but not limited to, line shafts, bearings, right -angle -gears, housing/frame, column pipe,,
<br />complete rebuild of pump/mator unit, motor rewinding, seats, impellers, rotor shaft, power/oontrol cable
<br />attachments, thermal/moisture sOnsors, and all other appurtenant components. Furnish new replacement
<br />vertical turbine pumps, well pumps, motors, and mechanical seals as. needed- Repair and service pump
<br />station natural gas or diesel -run engines, generators, equipment housings, and appurtenant parts
<br />Including, but not limited to, radiators, starters, water cooling pumps, gear drives, etc. The Contractor
<br />shall provide the Project Manager with its evaluation and'recommandatfon,ncluding cost estimates per
<br />project. All repair work shall be subject to Project Manager's written approval prior to commencing any
<br />work by the Contractor.
<br />The Contractor shall pickup and deliver pumps and motors (booster pump) for repairs from all sites
<br />requested.
<br />4. WELL VIDEO SURVEY SERVICE
<br />The Contractor shall be qualified to perform water well video Inspections using color video equipment
<br />with side scan and down -hole survey views. Videos shalt be produced in DVD format in standard
<br />definition with a pixel resolution of 64C x 480 pixels or at higher resolutions. Ability to perform these
<br />surveys at higher resolutions. will be given higher consideration.
<br />The video survey unit shalt simultaneously transpose the City's name, well name, footage and the date of
<br />inspection on the monitor screen and the video record. A footage counter/recorder shall read In feet and be
<br />accurate within 2 percent of the actual footage.,
<br />The video survey carneca shall be capable of right angle or normal dowrrhole vlewlrig'with a change fri
<br />camera lens or mechanical movement of the camera. At the direction of the City, the Contractor must be
<br />ogle to provide right angle, viewing to view any, casing section In a direct elevation view.
<br />5. WELL REHABILITATION AND TREATMENT SERVICE
<br />The Contractor shall be qualified to provide well rehabilitation, and treatmenf se, rvices. Furnish all portable
<br />engine -drivers. pumps, necessary to perform well redevelopment and rehabilitation,. Costs for temporary
<br />piping, sound proofing, and related equipment require approval by the Project Manager,
<br />To perform these tasks, the Contractor shall have the capability to perform mineral analysis, bhernical
<br />treatment,, water quality testing', zone testing, well casing patches and similar casing
<br />repaimliimprovements, and mechanical treatment on well casings. All .chemicals used in treating wails
<br />shall be State. approved for the.purpose intended, must be National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)
<br />approved, and Public Works approved for quantity and concentration.
<br />The Contractor's estimates shall include the typical type and concentration of chemicals (acids,
<br />Inhibitors, polymers, neutralizers, etc.) to be used; the typical appropriate contact time for the.
<br />chemicals; and the typical procedure for introducing, mixing, and neutralizing chemicals in the well, in
<br />addition, the name(s) and phone numbers of any company (ies) that will supply the treatment chemicals
<br />shall be provided. Completed Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals used shall include
<br />the methods of mechanical treatment (dual swab, wirefnylon brush, sonarjetfing, etc.).
<br />6. ELECTRIC MOTOR REPAIR AND REFURBISHMENT
<br />The successful Contractor shall provide all transportation, labor, materials, tests and equipment,
