cost shall be calculated by the Contractor subject to the <br /> approval of the Director of Public Works. The information <br /> used by the Contractor in making such calculation shall be <br /> made available by the Contractor to the Auditor for his <br /> review and recommendation to the Director of Public Works as <br /> to the validity, sufficiency, and accuracy of the average <br /> cost determination . The rates in effect in each of the <br /> aforesaid cities as of July 1 shall be independently <br /> verified by the Auditor . <br /> (d) In any of the four cities where the refuse <br /> collector ' s bin service includes apartment collections , the <br /> cost figure for such city shall be adjusted to compensate <br /> for the variation from bin service performed by the <br /> Contractor in Santa Ana . <br /> (e) The Contractor may enter into agreements with <br /> bin service customers for collection services in addition to <br /> or greater than the minimum collection services required by <br /> this Agreement. Charges for additional bin capacity and/or <br /> additional collections per week shall be based upon the <br /> schedule established under subsection (b) hereinabove . <br /> Subject to the approval of the Director of Public Works, the <br /> Contractor may impose surcharges on customers to cover <br /> increased costs incurred due to special collection problems; <br /> provided , Contractor shall be entitled to impose a surcharge <br /> of $2 .50 per month for castor wheels and to an additional <br /> surcharge for rolling work necessary to move bins to the <br /> collection point in accordance with Contractor ' s current <br /> distance rates . <br /> 26 . <br />
