18. PUBLIC EDUCATION SERVICES: <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the provision of <br /> public education services as provided in the CITY ' S SRRE. These <br /> services shall include, but are not limited to, the following <br /> items: <br /> (a) the production and distribution of a pamphlet containing <br /> trash regulations and holidays to all Customers and Curbside <br /> Service Units on a yearly basis and to all new service starts at <br /> service initiation; <br /> (b) the production and distribution to all Customers and <br /> Curbside Service Units every year of pamphlets concerning source <br /> reduction, Recycling and/or Yard Waste Diversion on an annual basis <br /> and to all new service starts at service initiation; <br /> (c) the performance, as needed, of community presentations on <br /> source reduction, Recycling and Yard Waste Diversion, including the <br /> production of all presentation materials; <br /> (d) the provision, as necessary, of technical assistance in <br /> the areas of source reduction, Recycling and Yard Waste Diversion; <br /> (e) the establishment and maintenance of a telephone hotline <br /> to receive calls from the public and provide information concerning <br /> integrated waste management; <br /> (f) cooperation in the production of an integrated waste <br /> management video for use by the CITY; and, <br /> (g) development and management of grants pursuant to the <br /> regulations contained in the CIWMA and/or adopted by the California <br /> Integrated Waste Management Board. <br /> This list may be reasonably modified from time to time as <br /> deemed necessary and appropriate by the Executive Director. The <br /> CONTRACTOR shall be required to work with the Executive Director in <br /> the preparation and production of the services listed and to <br /> proceed in the rendering of such services as the CITY dictates. <br /> Any services required hereunder shall require the Executor <br /> Director's approval prior to the execution thereof. <br /> 19 . STANDARDS FOR COLLECTION, EOUIPMENT AND NOISE: <br /> (a) Equipment and vehicles used by CONTRACTOR, whether owned <br /> by or licensed to CONTRACTOR, for the collection and hauling of <br /> Solid Waste shall be used so as to assure, in the reasonable <br /> opinion of the Executive Director, that adequate standards of <br /> collection will be maintained. All loads in CONTRACTOR's vehicles <br /> shall be kept completely covered at all times except when material <br /> is actually being loaded or unloaded or where the vehicles are on <br /> route in the process of collection. The collection equipment must <br /> be designed and operated in such a manner as to prevent Solid Waste <br /> from escaping the vehicle. Any spillage of materials which occurs <br /> during the collection process shall be immediately cleaned up by <br /> the CONTRACTOR at its expense. Further, all vehicles used by the <br /> CONTRACTOR pursuant to this Agreement which are not owned by the <br /> 18 <br />
