C.7.1 General Yard Waste Program Requirements <br /> The Contractor shall cause any and all segregated yard waste collected by <br /> Contractor within the City which is capable of being composted, mulched, or <br /> transformed to be diverted from landfills. City shall require the separate bagging of <br /> yard waste by all curbside, bin and roll-off customers. Such requirements will be <br /> effective July 1, 1993. Such yard waste shall be processed at a fully permitted <br /> composting, mulching, or transformation facility pursuant to the schedules below. <br /> Contractor shall have access to a composting, mulching, or transformation facility <br /> acceptable to the City by July 1, 1993 when diversion of City's yard waste is to <br /> commence. Contractor shall be responsible to ensure that the yard waste it collects <br /> is processed in compliance with CIWMA. <br /> C.7.2 Implementation Schedule <br /> Yard Waste Diversion From Curbside Customers <br /> Contractor shall be required to divert from landfill disposal all segregated yard <br /> waste which is collected by Contractor from curbside service units and processed at <br /> a MRF according to the schedule identified in Section C.5.1. <br /> Yard Waste Diversion From Bin ervicpitmen <br /> Contractor shall be required to divert from landfill disposal all segregated yard <br /> waste which is collected by Contractor from its bin service customers and processed <br /> at a MRF according to the schedule identified in Section C.5.1. <br /> Yard Waste Diversion from Roll-Off Service Customers <br /> Contractor shall be required to divert from landfill disposal all segregated yard <br /> waste which is collected by Contractor from its roll-off service customers and <br /> processed at a MRF according to the schedule identified in Section C.5.1. <br /> CS PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAM <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible for the provision of public education services, as <br /> provided in the City's SRRE. These services shall include, but are not limited to, <br /> the following items: <br /> (a) the production and distribution of a pamphlet containing trash regulations <br /> and holidays to all customers and curbside service units on an annual basis, <br /> and to all new service starts at service initiation; <br /> (b) the production and distribution to all customers of pamphlets concerning <br /> source reduction, recycling and/or yard waste diversion on an annual basis, <br /> and to all new service starts at service initiation; <br /> (c) the performance, as needed, of community presentations on source reduction, <br /> recycling and yard waste diversion, including the production of all <br /> presentation materials; <br /> Page 13 <br />
