F.22 Description of Proposed Basic Services <br /> The Contractor shall describe each of the collection services identified as Basic <br /> Services in Section C of this proposal in the following order: <br /> 1) Curbside Service <br /> 2) Residential Bin Service <br /> 3) Commercial Bin Service <br /> 4) Roll-off Service <br /> 5) Bulky Item Pick-up <br /> 6) Arterial Collection Program <br /> 7) City Collection Service <br /> For each type of service, the Contractor should provide a complete description of the <br /> collection method, recycling and diversion programs, material processing system, <br /> and public education requirements. Specific information shall include, as a <br /> minimum, the information below: <br /> Basic Collection tServices <br /> Describe what sort of collection system will be used to collect the material. The <br /> description of the collection system should include the number of routes, type of <br /> vehicles, and crew size for each type of collection service. Identify the site location <br /> and acreage where collection vehicles and equipment are to be stored and <br /> maintained. Describe how support services such as container and vehicle <br /> maintenance, administration, and billing services will be provided. <br /> Recycling and Yard Waste Diversion Programs <br /> Identify what percentage of the waste stream will be recycled and diverted by type of <br /> service for each year of the contract term (five years), and describe the methods and <br /> programs that will be used to achieve such recycling and diversion. The Contractor <br /> must also identify any responsibilities of the waste generators to separate or <br /> otherwise handle their waste. <br /> Material Recovery Facility <br /> Describe the proposed material processing facility, including: location; site <br /> acreage; guaranteed capacity reserved for Santa Ana solid waste in tons per hour, <br /> tons per day, and tons per year; processing and recovery techniques; and <br /> transportation and disposal of residual waste. Describe the marketing plan for <br /> recyclables. <br /> Public Education <br /> Describe the proposed public education program, including descriptions of the <br /> educational materials and programs to be developed for each class of waste <br /> generators (e.g. curb service customers, residential bin service customers, <br /> commercial bin service customers, etc.) <br /> Page 32 <br />
