Adopt a resolution amending Council Resolution No. 2015 -026, the City's Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plan, to <br />Unrepresented Executive Management (EM) <br />City Manager. <br />DISCUSSION <br />establish compensation for members of the <br />classification when appointed as the "Acting" <br />Background Supervisor and Background Investigators <br />The police department has been engaged in activities to increase sworn staffing levels. To meet <br />this demand, the police department's background unit has been utilizing one Correctional <br />Supervisor and two Correctional Officers on loan from the jail. The police department is <br />proposing a new classification titled Background Supervisor and reallocating one Correctional <br />Supervisor from the jail to the police department. This position would organize, manage and <br />coordinate the work of staff engaged in the performance of background investigations. The <br />55A -1 <br />
