Approve an appropriation adjustment recognizing a grant allocation by Orange County <br />Partnership to Improve Community Heath in the amount of $108,750 into the Emergency and <br />Heath Fund expenditure account for FY 2016 -2017. <br />3. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost of <br />$108,750, which includes the contract bid amount, administration, inspection and testing, and <br />an authorized contingency of $11,142. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This project consists of the installation of Class II (on street) bike lanes on Chestnut Avenue, <br />Bush Street and Cypress Avenue (Exhibit 1). The proposed bike lanes configuration (Exhibit 1a) <br />are consistent with the City's Bicycle Master Plan and will extend and connect to existing and <br />planned bike paths. The proposed bike lanes will improve mobility and safety of bicyclists. <br />These improvements are being funded by the Orange County Partnership to Improve Community <br />Heath (PICH) grant. <br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on February 17, 2017, and February 22, 2017; bids were <br />opened on March 13, 2017.
