Lehman Construction, <br />Inc., submitted the lowest responsive bid in the amount of $1,998,650 (Exhibit 2), which is <br />comparable to the Engineer's Estimate of $1,700,000. Rased on the bid analysis and a <br />contractors reference check, staff recommends awarding the construction contract to Lehman <br />Construction, Inc., in the amount of $1,998,660 (Exhibit 3). <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />assets), Strategy G (develop and implement the City's Capital Improvement Program in <br />coordination with the Community Investment Plan (e.g., neighborhood streets, traffic <br />improvements, etc.). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are <br />exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. 2017-15 was filed <br />for this project. <br />23A-2 <br />
